Average ticket.

The average invoice value per completed job, and the fastest lever most shops have on revenue.

What is average ticket?

Average ticket is total revenue divided by the number of completed jobs in a period. Track it by trade, by job type, and by technician, because the blended number hides everything useful.

Why it matters

The spread between your best and worst tech is usually 40 to 60 percent, and it is rarely skill alone: it is whether they present options. Raising average ticket does not require more calls, more trucks, or more marketing spend, which makes it the cheapest growth available. See also conversion rate.

How Lakehouse handles it

Every invoice ties back to the job and the tech who ran it, so average ticket by person is a report, not a spreadsheet exercise. See estimates and the price book.
